Getting a error message whenever trying to get on the internet

Question

Whenever I try to get on the internet, I keep getting this message:   'Assert in LSP g_socket_data.Lookup(s) == 0   capture\lsp
olsp\wsp_patches.cpp:1273'   Then underneath the message, it has three options to either 'Abort', 'Retry' or 'Ignore'. If I try to abort it starts working again, but Im still a little worried about whats happening and kind of want it to not pop up at all. When I try retry, it doesnt even make it to the homepage. not sure if this is your problem, but if you have Google Desktop, remove it completely, reboot, and download/reinstall the newest version.  Are you runningLotus notes as well?

Hi, I too, had the error message, although somewhat different, as appears below.   Assert in LSP Fals Failed to initialize mutex, Err=5 .\common/shared_memory_ptr.h:188   with the Abort, Retry and Ignore options.    After uninstalling the Google desktop, my internet connected just fine, and without any errors.  Yippee!!
