Getting kicked off line

I have a refurbished  latitude with an IntePRO wireless LAN 2100  adapter. Sometimes the icon shows that I am not connected, but I can log on but it will kick me off on an average of 5 minutes or so requiring a reboot. Other times the icon shows strong signal but it still kicks me off line. My router is an Actiontec M1424. It's still under warranty, but I thought I'd inquire here first. Any ideas?

Are there any other 2.4 Ghz wirelss devices in the vicinity that may be causing interfernce?  To minimize interference, set the router to use either Channel 1 or Channel 11.

Dang! Thanks for the fast response and yes there is a cordless remote phone 2.4 within a few feet of the router. The router is a fiber optic upgrade from a Verizon dsl router and I didn't get a disk when it was installed. Do I need that to change channels?

Yes, you need to change the channel.   Do you have any documentation on the router?   Do you know the make and model of the router?  Have you tried Verizon Tech Support to help you change the channel?
