GX620s hanging during RIS setup
Hi all,
Hope someone can shed some light on my problem. We've got a 2003 RIS server which has been running for a year / year and a half without problems. Around a month ago, we noticed that a couple of computers (GX520s and GX620s) were failing to RIS correctly. They would PXE boot, allow you to select the image (flat Windows XP SP2 CD) and start the install process. After the initial copy of files into memory however, they were hanging at the 'Setup is starting Windows' screen. This is the section where it would normally start to copy all the files across to the hard drive ready for installation. We've now found that effectively all the new computers that are arriving (GX620s and a couple of Dimensions) have this same problem. I thought that maybe it was a problem with a new version of the Broadcom network chip, but the latest version of the file downloaded from Broadcom's site has failed to fix the problem.
Is anyone else having this problem with the latest (last month or so) batch of Dell PCs?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
