My problems is my laptop
I have a Intel Pentium 4, Mobile CPU 1.60Ghz,256 mb of RAm.
My problem is the my internet and when i connect. I have a dial up and use netzero. So i connected to the internet and got an error mssg that said..The Netzero software cannot connect to the Netzero Network. When i connect, it dials the number and says "Logging In...." Then it starts to dail a backup number. I thought it was my modem but i called dell and they said there is nothing wrong with my modem. And it was a software Problem. Please help me, because i cant pay for the help that i need.
This error started today, i realize my computer was slower then usually so i decided to download the Windows SP 2 that was recently realesed. Then i ran the free software Ad-Aware Se Personal to check for any virus or anything that might be slowing down my internet. I restarted my laptop. Started connecting and my problems started. Please help me as much as u can..My email is

If I knew how to tell you that I got my internet connection fixed, I'd tell you. I also went through hours of Dell techs helping me (to no avail), then passing the buck, even got the Help Desk and they said we can give you 72 hours of tech support for $99. WHAT???? My expensive laptop is 6 months old and I can't connect to the internet all of a sudden?? Finally....I got someone who said click here, click there, and it was fixed in less than five minutes. I asked to talk to the supervisor so I could commend him and I did and also said I didn't appreciate the buck being passed and spending all that time on something that was a click away. Know what else I got?? SOMEONE from Dell called my home at 8:52 that night and chewed me out for not understanding the complexity of the issue and it wasn't their fault, etc. etc. I should have hung up, but I was so dumbfounded that I just sat there with the phone in my hand. Now I wish I'd gotten the name, but I DO have the phone # of who called (an 800 one) and the time of day. Does anyone know of a way I can write my frustrations straight to Dell???
1-800-624-9896 tech support. There are many different phone numbers for tech support...and I tried them all in the last three days. The number I have given you is where my problem was finally resolved. I hope you get connected. Good luck.
they will prob just check the service tag and know i called with a problem and would want to redirect me to software help which cost money again..but o well
