help, internet not working
I had a problem with my device manager being empty. I have now fixed it to where I can see my hardware. My problem is now under network settings, nothing shows and my ip address is empty too. please help. Please bare with me if I don't answer immediatly as I am reduced to using the internet from the library. thanks.

It would be very helpful if you stated which model computer you have and which version of Windows you are running. We could then have pointed you to the proper drivers to download and install on your computer, saving you at least one trip to the library. If you have the Dell Resource (sometimes called Drivers and Utilities) CD, you could try installing the proper drivers from that.

All Windows XP compatible drivers for the 8100 can be found at:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/devices.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_8100&os=WW1&osl=EN
You will have to know which sound card you have, which video card you have, and which network controller you have. The chipset drivers are native to Windows XP for the 8100.
