HELP ME -- Network issues
Alrighty, i really need some help here. I have a Dell dimension Desktop, and a Dell inspiron notebook. I run AOL as my isp, and i am trying to be online with both computers at the same time. I have a networking cable running between the 2 computers, and a network established between the two computers, however the only computer that is online is the one i dial up from. Somebody please help me

Using Internet Connection Sharing is difficult with AOL, because it is not a normal ISP. Do a search on google for some tips. With AOL, only one user can be online at a time, but once on, you should be able to use Internet Explorer.

Announcement at http://www.aol.co.uk/broadband/networking.html?promo=228937
Perhaps your AOL support could give you more info.

You can only log on to you AOL account with 1 computer at a time. Even if you have multiple screen names on that account. With dial up, most people never ran into this issue, since each system had to dial independently. (I learned about this trying to access my AOL account from work when my son was on-line)
With the advent of home networking this issue is now more common.
