HELP! NETWORK!

Question

i am trying to hook up our network to my dell dimension and an old gateway that we had...i have run the network setup wizard and it doesn't seem to work at all, i don't understand what i am doing wrong, how do i fix this? and i am also trying to hook up our printer so that it is able to recieve documents from upstairs...we have linksys router, and a wireless pci card...also have cable internet...is there a simple step by step way that i can do this myself instead of using the wizard that doesn't work???

Rather than using the network wizard, which invariable causes problems if you take one wrong guess at an answer, try setting things up manually by using the tutorial at the following site:
