Help PLEASE Wireless Issues on Inspiron 9400

Hello,
Hoping some one can help!
I have a new computer, the Inspiron 9400. I have a d-link router with upgraded firmware.
My signal strenth is 54 mps and have rebooted both the router and modem several times.
The issue is I can connect but it takes 2 minutes to load any pages.
My old computer is a dell and worked great .I then had a buddy of mine try his laptop and everything works fine.
I have changed every possible setting I can think of on my laptop.
I guess Im still missing something.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My wireless card is the Dell Wirless 1390 WLAN Mini Card
Thanks

Will Dell take that card back and give you ("free") a 3945
You could do a forum search on the 1390 to see problems reported by others.

Have you checked for spyware or virus problem? or try changing channel on the router

Ok. Try to run the diagnostics application of the wireless card. If failed, call DELL

Yes I have tried connecting directly from the Modem and router.

Lan connection works great. I am well protected and have no viruses on my machine.

It can be a problem on the card but it can also be a problem of the winsock settings of the OS. Have you tried to plug the broadband modem directly to the system if it has difference when you are wireless?

Log into your router admin page ie: 192.168.x.x and go to dmz options, turn on dmz and see if this helps. It usally will you could be having trouble getting your ports opened. this will do just that

Did you try running the user diagnostics for the wireless card located in the dell wireless client utility(the little stair step thing on the task bar in the bottom right corner)?
