Putting a comma between No and New makes your answer very ambiguous. Do you mean the you did not install any software?
Go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.
From the looks of the file, you are plugged directly into a cable modem which has no routing capabilities. If it did, your IP Address would be a private address such as 192.168.1.100
What you need to do is get a good wireless router and that would be placed inbetween your cable modem and your PC's. Right now, with the exception of the Windows firewall your machine is exposed tot he world.
No wireless because, again, no wireless router. The 169.254.x.x address is a private Microsoft address that indicates the wireless network card cannot find a valid DHCP server (router).
My internet is running straight from a cable modem right now. I do have a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4GHz Broadband Router but I haven't hooked it up because the wireless isn't working. Any suggestions?

Start>Run type cmd
Inside the box that pops up type this exactly noting the spacing:
ipconfig /all >> C:\ipconfig.txt
Go to the C Drive, copy and paste the contents of the ipconfig.txt file here.
