help putting video clips in email

I am getting really discouraged about trying to send video clips from our digital camcorder to email. The computer captures the video just fine, but when I try to attach clips to email - nothing. What am I doing wrong? I have been told that when I go in Movie Maker to go to the side panel to choose the save in email option, but nothing happens. Is there some software I am missing or do I need to enable some application? Thanks.

The process is going to be easy enough to do, where you will have issues is the size of the files.  Most ISP's limit the size of messages going thru at 5mb, which is almost nothing.  You would be better to try an ZIP (compress) the file and send it that way.

I'm not sure that size of the video is the problem at this point although it may be. I am actually interested in finding out exactly how someone would put together and email with some short video clips (step 1 to step x). Is there a tutorial on this subject anywhere? We have a Dell XPS 400 with dual drives and another big drive just for video. Our camcorder is a Canon Elura that we also bought from Dell and had to buy a new port to get it to download to the computer. Thanks

Even for still photographs, there are many solutions for sharing that do not use email, such as SnapFish
The reason is that email is not designed for this kind of load. It is not a personal decision either because putting large files into email affects all users of the same email system (not your client program).
If you want to be able to share video clips, then perhaps the same concept that is used by Snapfish and perhaps dozens of others may be available for video as well. I am not certain.
