Help!!! Windows cannot configure this wireless connection
I have a Inspiration 6000 for less than a year. Never called Dell and now Dell says my warranty expires. So I have to come here.
I was annoyed by the wireless icon kept searching so I stopped it and don't remember how I did it. Now I want it back but it has this message 'Windows cannot configure this wireless connection'. I cannot even disable it. The device manager shows it is enabled.
How do I configure to make it work? (more detailed the better)
Thanks in advance.

as per the previous suggestions check if you have the Dell utility or Intel Proset. if you do then disable it. then go to Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections and right-click on the 'wireless network connection' icon and click on Properties. go to the wireless networks tab and check the option 'use windows to configure my wireless network settings' and click OK. then right-click wireless network conn icon again and click View available wireless networks. if there are any wireless networks in range then they should show up. if you still get the same message, click Start -> Run. type services.msc. in the list of services that comes up scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration and start the service
**Note: if the issue gets resolved by the above steps but if you haven't disabled either Intel Proset or Dell utility, you may face the same issue again after rebooting the computer
