Help with wireless

I have an Inspiron 1150 laptop with the broadcom 1350 wlan.
I've recently reinstalled  Windows , after installing windows and all drivers , wireless connections doesn't work i.e I don't see any available networks, although I know that they exist and function. After running the test for the wireless card, it showed that memory test failed (everything else passed), so I know this is the problem.
My question is wether anyone had that issue before and knows what needs to be done to fix the problem, wether it's a hardware or a software issue,I I've tried reinstalling the drivers, disabling and then reenabling the device, nothing helps.
Please help.

Failing the memory test is expected because none of the cards shipped by dell have the optional memory modules installed.  So, that is not your problem.  When you reinstalled Windows did you install the chipset drivers for your motherboard as the first device drivers installed after the Windows reinstallation?  If you go into Device Manager, are there any devices shown there as problem devices?  If so, which ones?

I made a clean windows installation after repatritioning & reformatting the hdd drive,
After the windows was installed i've installed drivers from the drivers disk that came with my laptop with the order of their appearance in the disk's setup , as I remember chipset was before the wireless. There is an unknown (other) device on the device manager screen , but I guess it's the modem cause I didn't installl it.
I've used Linux before and it worked there (now I've decided to install Windows too) so the card itself should be fine.
