Help wlan 1350 card

I am based in the UK, and have a UK bought DELL Inspiron 1150 with an installed 1350 card. It works fine with my Belkin router, but I have problems in that the router was causing some interferance on the signal of our digisender that we use to transmit the satellite signal round the house, The belkin router was set to channel 6, I changed it to channel 1, and most of the interferance disappeared (There still was a little as there still was some barely noticeable lines on the screen, as I had seen when it was on channel 6) However, the laptop then stopped seeng the network - no network available at all. I changed it back to channel 6, no problems, network back, tried channels 1 & 2 (minimal interferance) - no signal on laptop.

 

The only other thing I note is that the WLAN card properties appear to suggest it is set to Japan as its country of use, with no other option in the drop doen box.

 

Can anyone help, is this normal to only see 11 of the available 13 channels on my router, is it because it is set to Japan, Help please !!!!
