is there an ethernet connection on the system? It looks like a phone jack only slightly larger. I believe this is what comcast is saying.

That's it. He did say I needed this port, can one be installed on the computer if none exists? Does it also need a download of any sort or just the port? Thanks for the assist!- David

according to your system manual you should have on see HERE scroll down to the back panel connections, item number 1,2,3 this is where you connect the ethernet cable from your modem
