Home network and printer sharing problems

Hello--I have an INSPIRON 2200 that I have added to my home network.  The computer is able to go online--I am able to "ping" the other computers on the network through the INSPIRON.  The other computers are not able to "ping" the INSPIRON.  For some reason, the other computers cannot see the INSPIRON.  I have turned on all file sharing and turned off all fire walls, restarted all computers, I cannot think of anything else or any reason this is happening.  I have a printer connected to the INSPIRON that I would like all computers to share--any more ideas?
Thanks, Shannon

I'm not too sure what you mean by "connect"........by using run-command-and then ping by using network address the INSPIRON can get replies from my other 2 computers--but the other 2 computers don't get replies from the INSPIRON.   Thanks...
