Home network problems
Inspiron 9400.
WE just bought a new laptop (A) and want to make a wireless network with our Dell desktop (B). It is a simple network. Our desktop (B) can find both computers (A+B) they are both in the same group (MSHOME). The laptop (A) cannot find itself.
The desktop (B) can ping to herself and the laptop (A)
The laptop (A) can only ping to herself.
If I ask for the network places on the laptop (A) it gives the following error message:
MSHOME is not accesable. You might not have the permission to use this network resource. The list of this network is not currently available.

Hmm, looks like some sort of permissions problem... Except for the fact that you can't ping the desktop from the laptop. (You ARE referring to the commandline "ping" utility, I assume?)
Is the desktop wired or wireless? What brand/model of router are you using?

The desktop is wireless. The brand router is Siemens GIGASET (experia) and I'm using the same GIGASET 108 receivers and repeaters.
