Home Network Setup?
I need some help.
I have two computers at home. 1 HP PC and 1 Dell Laptop. Both are running XP. I am connected to the internet through Comcast Cable (Broadband) and have a wireless router. Truemobile 2300. The PC is connected through the Truemobile with an ethernet cable and the laptop is connected wireless.
I have no problems at all with either Internet connection. I have run the Network setup wizard a few different times, but each time, I loose my laptop internet connection.
My connections are like this:
Incoming cable is hardwired to the Cable Modem. Which is hardwired to the wireless router. The PC is hardwired to router and the Laptop connects wireless to the router.
I would like to:
Share files between PC and laptop and also have access to the printer from the laptop. (either through the PC or simply as a stand alone network printer)
I am probably just missing something simple, but it is driving me nuts.

Help on the way... :-)
You've probably got "internet FireWall" enabled on one or both computers.
Disable the firewall (the 2300 router will handle basic FW anyways), and hey presto!
To enable/disable the firewall, go control-panel -> network -> network connections -> properties for LAN or wireless connection -> Advanced
Let us know if that helped.
PS! This is assuming you've got file- and printer-sharing enabled, and you've shared the drives/printers on each computer.
PPS! If you're concerned about security issues in relation to switching off the FW, read this excellent article: http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=insp_network&message.id=13269
