Hooking up 1000 for Comcast Cable
I have called Comcast Cable, who runs my internet and have recieved no help as of yet. I am trying to hook my Comcast Cable, which I run on my DELL PC to my Inspiron 1000 Notebook. Does anyone know what I will need to purchase besides that Wireless PC Card, "

You'll need a wireless access point or router. The cable modem will connect to the router, and receive its external IP address from the cable system. The wireless and wired PCs will connect to the "LAN" side of the router, and receive their internal IP addresses from the router.
Linksys and HomeNetHelp both have good educational sections explaining all this.

You need one with the word 'router' in it.
