Hotspot Station Missing!
Ok so today I finally decided to make a second post, because my frst post (http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/network-internet-wireless/f/3324/t/19537472.aspx) had no replies ONE MONTH AFTER POSTED... I had trust in DELL but I can´t just think of its bad service, despite the "good comments" about its great customer support service.
Lets get directly to the point:
Recently bought an Inspiron 14R 5437 with Hotspot Station that worked fine. PC came in Spanish (Win 8 SL) so I decided to install Win 8.1 SL English version. Did all thw things and activated it succesfuly. Then installed drivers in the suggested order (http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/04/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?c=us&l=en&s=gen&docid=268873) and discovered hotspot station went missing.
After doing some research around DELL forum found many suggested reinstall Wireless Network driver, so I proceeded and did it FOUR times with no results. (Yes correct service tag, correct OS in download page.
I hope someone can provide me with a good solution or, at least, answer to this thread. Thanks.

Yucheng0801,
I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for.
New program is called Intel® My WiFi Dashboard Intel My WiFi Dashboard delivers ultimate Wi-Fi portability for chatting, transferring files, creating personal hotspots, and syncing between devices over Wi-Fi Direct. Intel My WiFi Dashboard for Microsoft Windows 7 is a free app for Intel® Centrino® Wireless products. Intel has Windows 8 drivers available.

Hi RockSt☆r-Rick K! Thanks for the fast reply. I have understood that Intel® My WiFi Dashboard is for Intel Centrino Wirless products witch I doubt it is mine. According to Device Manager on my PC Wirless it is stated as Dell Wirless 1705 802.1 1b/g/n (2.4GHZ) witch does not seem as the according one to use Intel Centrino´s technology.
The program I got missing was the DELL Hotspot Station found pre-installed on PC at the time of the purchase. Am I able to install this program? Please reply asap. Regards.

Yucheng0801,
From reading other members posts that are missing HotSpot Station, it looks like this is included in the drivers package.
Download Dell Wireless 1705 802.11b/g/n, BT4.0+HS Driver and save them to your desktop.
Make a system restore point.
Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, device manager, network adapter, right click on Dell Wireless 1705 802.11b/g/n, left click uninstall. Tell it to remove the software and drivers.
Restart your computer. When you login, the new hardware wizard will try to install the adapter but fail. Install the drivers saved to your desktop. This should install the drivers and HotSpot Station.

Which one should I download? Hard-Drive or Update Package for Microsoft® Windows® ? I already got the Hard-Drive version and as I said, uninstalled and installed 4 times with no success.
For the second package (Update Package for Microsoft® Windows®) it somehow damaged my pc making it unable to connect to wifi so I uninstalled it and installed the first one witch is my problem, no hotspot station.
I don´t really get why DELL won´t upload an exe file just for Hotspot Station app instead of its supposely "build in" in wirless driver package...
Thanks for help, I´ll try one more time the reinstall and post back with results. Regards

Hi again Rick. Did all the steps you mentioned, but again, it just installed WLAN Wirless Drivers and Bluetooth Suite, nothing more. This makes me conclude Hotspot Station is definitely not incluided in the package. Please provide with further assistance to solve this issue. Thanks.

Yucheng0801,
I have been asked to...
Using Internet Explorer (32-bit) go to My Dell Downloads
Register, then login. Use the same email address and password you use in the forums. See if HotSpot Station is listed there.
We heard it's on the factory image, but we are currently trying to locate the download location for this.
Pleas post back here, so the people I am communicating with can also read the information.
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick, I followed your instructions an encountered another problem. After clickink "allow" button on pop up to allow Dell´s detection program nothing happens. I´ve waited for nearly 20minutes without any response on IE. Here is an screenshot http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/571/w4uf.png
PD: I already disabled AVG Antivirus and checked firewall was off.
Here is the issue exactly as happens to me, I saw you answered to this thread. And I already cleared cache and cookies

Yucheng0801,
Trying to find a Dell Employee to help you register.
Do you have the latest Flash Player installed? Adobe - Test Adobe Shockwave Player
I have asked a Dell Liaison to help. If no response, I will ask another Dell Employee.

Yucheng0801,
I was provided this information. Please let me know if it works or not.
If the customer is just trying to set up the notebook as a hotspot since, the following document may help.
http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/04/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&docid=616793
Also try looking for the utility via Dell Digital Delivery
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails/Product/inspiron-14r-5437?driverId=1C7HC&osCode=W864&fileId=3333071403&languageCode=en&categoryId=AP
If you haven’t directed the user to the My Dell Download FAQs, it gives instructions on how to register, how to reset the password, help with firewalls blocking My Dell Downloads
https://smartsource.dell.com/Web/UserForms/Faq.aspx?Opened=True
You can also direct the user to support.dell.com. He will need to have an account and have registered his notebook to the account.

Hi Rick. Thanks for the reply.
Sorry I couldn´t get back to the thread in a while, but I tested every single method with no avail.
1. My point isgetting the Hotspot station .exe so there is no point on doing a Hotspot by other method.
2. Dell Digital Delivery shows nothing but "all drivers are up to date"
3. I managed somehow to successfully regiter my dell product by reading FAQ guide and disabling Firewall. Entered My Dell Downloads page which shows the following items:
Media Suite Essentials BD and DVD
Media Suite Essentials DVD/BD
McAfee 12.1 EM
McAfee LiveSafe EM
Which none show any sign of "Dell Hotspot Station".
I don´t really get why Dell won´t upload a setup version of this program to avoid install-reinstall problems.
Any further help on this issue would be really appreciated. Thanks again and regards.

Yucheng0801,
Since I didn't hear from you, we weren't sure if you located HotSpot Station or not. I am trying to see if we can locate this.
