How do I get my wireless to work
I can't get my wireless to work. What do I do? I am so confused. Can anyone help? I have a Dell Desktop that has a D-Link Router and I have a Inspiron 600m laptop. I would like to use my laptop to get on the internet and not be plugged in.

Hi steve, thanks for replying. Since I got my new laptop, I have not been able to get my wireless to work. I have Cox Highspeed internet and I can use my laptop with a wired ethernet connection through the router. Yes I have reset my network and can connect to my desktop and print, but just cant get online with out the wired connection. My laptop is a Inspiron 600m. My old laptop which was a IBM Think Pad, the wireless worked. But a friend of mine set that up and now he has moved out of state. So I am on my own here. Any help you can give me would be very much appreciated. I am a newby to this.

Try using the reset button on the back of the router (you have to hold it in for about 10 seconds). This will reset the router to its factory settings and eliminate any security settings that may have been set up when your frient setup the network. If that works, spend some time reading the router's user guide to re-enable the wireless security.
