how to enable the bluetooth in e6420

I have an E6420, Win7 64-bit,  can't  showing bluetooth  available.

There is no option displayed in any network settings window or control panel that shows Bluetooth or any options for it. The Device Manager is showing no item related to Bluetooth. Bluetooth has nothing showing in the Windows Mobility Center., , what a pain to customers ...

Hello,

Here are instructions from Microsoft on how to enable Bluetooth in a Windows 7 system.  If Bluetooth is not enabled you may not see options for it in the various networking screens.   You may also want to go into your System Setup (BIOS) and make sure that bluetooth is enabled in the BIOS as well.

For Device Manager, if bluetooth is not enabled,  you may need to set it to see hidden devices to be able to locate the listing for it.

Let me know if you are able to enable Bluetooth, either in Windows or in BIOS.  To better help me troubleshoot this issue please right click on my Dell Todd username and send me a private message with the Dell Service Tag of your E6420.  Please keep all troubleshooting discussions here in this public thread so that others, with the same questions, can see what is discussed.

Thank you,

Todd
