From the sound of your message, you are not running Windows XP. Is that correct? If you are running Windows 98 or Windows ME, then you need to right-click on Network Neigborhood or My Network Places and select Properties from the drop-down menu. Change the Primary Network Logon to Windows Logon then reboot the computer. When it asks for a username and password leave the password field blank and do not click on Cancel. After performing this procedure, you will not be asked for a username and password on subsequent boots and you will be logged on with the Null password.
