Hp driver issue

Just curious if any fellow inspiron 9300 users have run into this. 

we have a home network with a HP :aser jet 1200 (that has a jet direct card).  The other computers can print just fine.  However, when I try to connect I can't print.  I have also downloaded the HP network printer wizard, and it's able to see the printer and the ip address, but unable to print.  Is there a compability issue?
