Are any security settings enabled on the router (like MAC address filtering, WEP or WPA encryption)?  If so, temporarily disable them until you get the network to work.

You open the user guide for your router and look up how to get into the router's configuration settings.  Once there, you should be able to find the settings and disable them.  Alternatively, you can press and hold the reset button on the back of the router.  This will reset the router to its factory default settings which have none of the security features enabled.

Try using the reset button on the router.

I have the same exact problem.  Please help.  I had it working yesterday.  I had to re-load windows and I think that messed up some of my windows settings
