i cannot open wireless link in the control panel

Hi, can someone please help me solve the problem, i cant use my infra red. It was working perfectly until one day my windows had some error and i had to restore it to the 'previous working condition' throught the startup page and there goes my wireless link in the control panel and my IR connectivity...now whenever i click the wireless link icon, an hourglass appear and after a while nothing happen... anyway, pple had told me to reinstall drivers, check bios and use tweak, and I did as what they told me, however the problem remain unsolved...haiz...sigh thanks a million...please help me!i've been searchin for solutions for a month....

I do not have any other wireless network, thus I am not sure, but my wireless link icon in control panel is not functioning, so I suppose it's not working too.
