I was sure I had it WPAed.
You can learn alot in one night....I thought :(
With my Inspiron 1100 I have the TrueMobile Wireless 1300 PCMCIA card with my Dell
desktop 4600 I have the Dell TrueMobile 2300 Wireless Broadband Router...so both WPA compliant.
The WPA step by step instructions seem to be very clear but I cannot get the laptop to connect to the internet and email upon completion whereas the desktop can. Only when I disable the "Wireless Security" in the Control Utility of the TrueMobile is all well but then no security. Any suggestions?

Just how are you creating the WPA key? Through a passphrase or manually? Theses keys are case sensitive so dell does not equal Dell.
When you create the key for the card, write it down and compare it to the key generated by the router.

The key I created manually, consisted of only numbers, so case sensitive wasnt the problem. There doesnt seem to be alot to do with setting up WPA security but clearly something has gone amiss.
