Iexplore.exe error msg and freezes
I am getting the following error msg when I surf the net (French msg translated in English):
"iexplore.exe encountered a problem and will shut. We do apologize for the inconvenience caused"
Error signature is as follows:
AppName:iexplore.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1217
Offset: 00008d2c
Internet then just closes and I have to reconnect. This pb happens about 5 min after connection.
Any idea as to what might be the pb and how ti fix it?
Thanks
Cecile

Although a search for that error reveals lots of hits, very few offer a solution. There are many suggestions that this could be caused by spyware (most of the problems with Internet Explorer these days are due to spyware). Thus, I would suggest that you download, install, update, and run Ad-Aware and Spybot and let these programs remove all of the garbage that they find.

If these programs don't solve the problem, go to the following site and follow the directions to download and run the analysis tool called HijackThis.:

Generate a log file, then open it and copy and paste the text of the log file in a message in the the forum at:

where a certified HijackThis expert can offer advice on how to fix the problem:
