Improving wireless connection with 1397 mini-card

Hello!

We've never had a decent wireless connection with this card and have lived in two different houses...

I'm just wondering if I can change the internal card to improve it - have read that it is 'g' technology and therefore even if I change it to an 'n' card it won't work above a 'g', so seems kind of pointless if this is true. Can anyone confirm?

If that is true can anyone recommend a better alternative? Can I use an external driver - and if so, any suggestions?

Many thanks to anyone who can help, I am pretty clueless about this stuff but desperate for a better wi-fi connection!

Hi spanner77,

Wireless N cards connected to a wireless N network, has better coverage, range and speeds, compared to a Wireless G network. You can obtain these improvements, only when the card is connected to a wireless N network or router.

You can purchase an USB external Wireless N adapter and use it to connect to a Wireless N network by visiting the following link:

You can try changing the Roaming Aggressiveness of the card; the 1397 mini-card is connected to a Wireless G network by following the steps provided in the link below:

Please let me know about your findings.
