infra red?

Question

I have got a d600 wtih blue tooth. There is somthing like infra red lamb on the left side of the notenook. But i cant use it. do you know if there is infra red on this computer or not?

Ugura24m, Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum. Yes, there is an IR port on the system.  It is on the left side below the PCMCIA slot.

The reason why it doesn't work is probably that iR is switched off in the system bios.

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLIES I HAVE SOLVED IT. AS ONE OF YOU SAID IT WAS THE SYSTEM BIOS. I HAVE TURNED IT ON. AND IT WORKED.

At the start of your system enter system's bios setup And find the options for the ports Then give an available port number to the infra red
