Insiprion 6400 with vista network problems

Hi,

 

Have had my new laptop turn up and it;s a bit of a nightmare. Blue screened first start up and everytime it starts some Roxio software fails.

 

My biggest problem is that although I can connect to wireless access points, I don't seem to be able to access the internet. I have tried connecting direct to a router and have the same problem. I can see a network status dialog stating "Connection status: unknown. Access is denied".

 

Anyone have any ideas. I have just attempted sending an email and it takes 10 mins and finally is sent, so looks like it's not completely wrecked.

 

Any ideas??
