Inspirion 9100 - Going Wireless!

I have an Inspirion 9100.  I want to go wireless so when I go to hotspots I can use the internet.  Can someone help me?  It seems many people have a card that plugs in.  Is that the best thing?  Do they have an internal one?  Is it easy to install?

When I get it then how does it works?  Will in screw up my current settings at work and home?

Thanks!

Yes it doesn't. I also went to a chat session with Dell and they said I didn't have one.
So where do I go from here?

Are you positive that your laptop doesn't already come with an internal wireless card?

you can use a dell wireless 1350, 1370, 1450 or 1470 mini PCI internal wireless card.
they are all 802.11b/g with the latter two being 802.11a/b/g

What does that mean?  Where should I buy it? Is it internal or external? I want to buy a good one so I won't have to buy another one later on.

IMO both about the same!

Sorry to be a pain.  Is the internal easy to put in?  About what range of price is normal?  Also about the a/b/c  which one should I get?  I want it to work at as many places as possible.  What is the difference?  Does software come with it or does it just detect it?

Thanks for all your help

The internal wireless card is a very straightforward to install (see the link below).

I use a 1350 myself in one of my laptops and it works fine.
The driver software should come with the card but if it doesn't then it is available as a download on the Dell site.

I was looking online because I need to buy one by the end of the month.  What about speed?  Also the ones with the little antenae - do they have a bigger range?

Thanks
