Inspiron 1300 Network Controller

Hi all

I have a Dell Inspiron 1300/B130. I installed a fresh copy of Windows XP Professional, it picked up all the drivers except the network controllers and the Display. I have everything running smoothly except for the Wireless Network Controller. I have tried installing all the wireless drivers found on the dell website. I also installed the broadcom bcm440x R108904. I also checked the broadcom website. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Have you tried installing the Dell drivers? I would go there first and make sure that you install the Chipset drivers first.

Hi fixati0n
Yes i have, the broadcom bcm440x R108904 driver is from dells website. I just updated the chipset drivers and still nothing. I searched the forums and someone said the broadcom bcm440x R108904 driver is for the wireless network controller. But it won't take it, i also tried doing a scan from device manager. I don't know what my other options are?

I was able to get it to work. It was the Intel Wireless driver. Thanks for helping me out fixiat0n and andy.

No problem. I've recently run into the issue of finding the wifi drivers on a number of laptops.
