Inspiron 5100 PCI Modem Driver missing

Hello,
I just noticed that on my Hardware list the PCI Modem Listing is Listed as "Unknown"

Where can I find the right driver for this device?

Thanks

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Above on this page, go to Product Support/Downloads to find all the files for your system.

Thank you for the fast reply.
What Catergory would the 'PCI Modem' be under?

again thanks for the reply. There are three available for download.

my service tag is 4T81341 Inspiron 5100. Which of the three should I use, or does it matter?

Yes it matters.  From this entry in the build list for your notebook I believe it is the  Broadcom modem.

1  9U807   ASSEMBLY, BASE (ASSEMBLY OR GROUP), EXTERNAL, BROADCOM CORPORATION, 5100

You could open the door on the bottom and look at the card to make sure.

Hi There,

I got the same problem with my Inspiron 5160 for my pci-modem with a question mark.  I had downloaded the file that suggested (R87018.EXE) but it doesn't match with the hardware.  This is the only DRIVER file for my Inspiron.  I don't know what to do or where I can get the right driver.  So, if you have any suggestion please let me know.  Any help would greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Khanh
