Inspiron 6400 Wireless Adapters HELP!!!

So I recently formatted my Inspiron 6400 laptop and although everything is install correctly, my wireless internet does not work. The connection status ico appears but it's white with a red 'X' over in. When I hover my cursor over the icon I get the message:

No supported wireless adapters available in the system.

Also, my wi-fi card does not light up.

Can ANYONE HELP ME?!

FN F2 enables the card if it is an internal wireless card. You did not say what card you had. Did you install all the drivers in order. Dell notebook system software, chipset drivers then the rest according to these instuctions here.

Or maybe this is more helpful, I found it upon further investigation of the link you told me to go to:

Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter (LNE100TX v4) is an ethernet adapter, not a wireless adapter.  You have the Intel 3945 wireless network adapter.
