Have you tried resetting the router by turning it off then turning it back on? Are you running encryption on the network? If so, try disabling the enctryption temporarily to see if that is the cause of the problem.

Have tried both of those things with no luck

It just stops there. I left it earlier today and it stayed there for several hours. No error messages no nothing.

Try reinstalling the drivers for the wireless network adapter.
