Inspiron 9400 Wireless Driver Installation

I also posted on the Inspiron Modem forums, I appologize in advance because I did not realize there was this forum as well. I assume then that this is the place to actually post my problem.

I had to reformat my Inspiron 9400 laptop computer, and I am trying to install the IntelPro/Wireless 3945 driver but when it is installing, specifically on the LAN instal part of the process, it begins to UNinstall. I have tried this a few times and the same problem occurs.

Can anyone please help me?

After reinstalling Windows did you install the chipset drivers before attempting to install any other device drivers?  Without the chipset drivers, Windows cannot recognize or install drivers for many other devices.

I just reinstalled the chipset drivers, tried once again, and its a no go :( It just gets to the LAN instal and then uninstalls.

Thank you Steve for your help :) I'm not sure if there's anything else I can do?

All drivers for the I 9400 can be found at:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/devices.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&SystemID=INS_PNT_P4_9400&os=WW1&osl=EN

click the + sign next to Network Drivers.  The ethernet controller is the Broadcom 440x integtrated controller, the first one on the list.

I checked my drivers and there's a question mark beside my Ethernet Controller driver, I've been trying to find this everywhere, don't know where I can get it. Any help please?
