Inspiron B130

Question

Will the Linksys WPC300C card work with the Inspiron B130 laptop, and will it connect with the Linksys WRT54G router?. Thank you for your help.

First of all, I cannot find a WPC300C wireless adapter on the Linksys web site, so I don't know what it is.  Are you sure you have the correct model?    Also note that the B130 does not have a PCMCIA slot, so any PC card wireless adapter will not work.   The slot on the side of the B130 is the new technology Express Card slot, thus only an Express Card wireless adapter will work in that slot.  As far as I can tell, Linksys has not yet released any Express Card wireless network adapters.   Steve

Thank you for the prompt reply. Details of WPC300N below. I was referred to this site from the Linksys site. The card will fit into the smart card slot. At least that is what I deduced from the installation instructions on the Linksys site. http://www.bargains101.com/network/8013.html?pg

That is a PC Card wireless adapter.  You do not have a PC Card slot on the B130.  You have an express card slot.    Steve
