Inspiron D610 wireless card disabled after boot

I have several D610s where the Intel proset wireless card is disabled when the ethernet port is in use during signon. The BIOS is set to enable the card during boot, and it works if they boot off the network. I have checked the Proset software and the BIOS and I can't find the setting that turns them off when a network is present. Can't use the FN F2, as the card is actually disabled and must enable it before allowed to turn radio on. Any ideas? THX.
