Inspiron E1505 Driver issues
I have a E1505 and just installed win xp sp2 on it. I see that there are a bunch of drivers that are missing and I tried to install them but no luck. I am not sure what I am misisng. I went to the support page and chose the drivers as per my system and os. How ever, it doesnt seem to work. As of now device manager shows a bunch of devices with a YELLOW Q mark
Base System device ( 3 times)
Ethernet Controller
PCI device
Video Controller
Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
In the Network adpaters I see
1) 1394 Net Adapter
2) Dell Wireless 1390 mini card.
I cannot get on to the Internet. I installed the below drivers
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Anyways, I have the x1400, and I'm going to TRY the drivers direct from ATi. Dell sent a drivers disc... but guess what? None of the drivers work. As a matter of fact, I can't even choose the e1505, only 3 other models. Now, that's even more pathetic. Over $1100 for a laptop and I'm going to have to spend hours/days searching for drivers that Dell didn't send.
I also have the exclamation marks beside the objects that you listed in the device manager, also.
Help me out, and I'll post whatever I find to help you out. Where do I get the drivers for the wireless NIC? I need to start there.

EDIT: I Found them under the chipset drivers. I have all the drivers now for my e1505. You still missing anything?

As for your PCI Device problem.... Mine is fixed, but I did have the problem. I have installed drivers for the sound (two drivers, the first being Sigmatel drivers, then the Audigy Advanced HD drivers), I installed drivers for the modem ( I let Windows Update install those particular ones), I installed the Broadcom Ethernet drivers, the x1400 ATi drivers from Dell, the Chipset drivers, and I downloaded something off the same page that called itself an updater.
Not sure which one of those took care of the PCI device problem. Could have been the modem, or even the video card drivers. I know my card is PCI-e, though.
