Hi aamerpk,

In order to utilize  Intel® My WiFi Technology (Intel® MWT) your system must meet the following minimum requirements :

  • A compatible Intel wireless card. Click on the link for a list of compatible cards : http://intel.ly/1334Gt8
  • Microsoft Windows Vista* or Windows 7* 32-bit or 64-bit
  • Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software v12.4.x.x or higher.

However, it appears your system has a Dell 1501 wireless card, which is not compatible with Intel® MWT. You may need to purchase and install a compatible wireless card to use the Intel® MWT. The following wireless cards have been tried and tested by dell and are compatible with Intel® MWT :

  • Intel® WiFi Link 6200 802.11agn 2x2 Half Mini Card
  • Intel® WiFi Link 6250 802.11agn/WiMax 2x2 Half Mini Card

For steps to replace the wireless card you can refer to the service manual : http://bit.ly/REGhS6
