If you read through some of the messages on this forum, you will likely find many people reporting problems with the latest version of the Intel ProSet Utility. I would advise either going back to the older version of the Utility (not the drivers) or using Windows to manage the wireless network until Intel fixes the bugs.
Thanks. It hadn't occured to me that I could probably go back to old utility while keeping the most current drivers. Given that I think both were installed by the same InstallShielf package, do you have a suggestion on what files I should be looking for? I just need a few hints and I can probably figure it out from there.
Now that I think about it, the Intel is packaging their updates, I.m not sure that you can keep the drivers and install an older version of the utility, but you might want to check the availability on the Intel web site, rather than the Dell web site. I know Intel is aware of the problem, so there should ba a fix soon, so the best option may be to use the Windows utility until Intel comes up with a fix.
Thanks Steve. I'll try both. As long as Intel realizes the problem, that alone makes me feel better because at least it's probably not related to something specific on my machine - it's obviously a systemic problem with their software.
