Intel Wireless Issue-URGENT

How you guys doing?  I went to start my Intel/Pro Wireless and i got a message saying that there is no supported wireless adapter.  I have been able to connect without a problem before.  It is like all of a sudden the adapter is gone.  Can anyone help me.  I have a Inspiron 6000.  I would like to get this problem solved as soon as possible.  I am a college student and i really need this.  Thank you.

is the adapter showing up in device manager?  is it showing up in the bios (press F2 at the dell screen).  it's possible the adapter became unseated -- which can easily happen from a drop or jolt for instance

Did you check the BIOS setup program to make sure that the MiniPCI slot is not disabled?  Have checked to see if the MiniPCI card has come loose in its slot?

Yes the device is located and enabled in the BIOS setup.  Everything seems normal.  Is there anything else i should try?

Hi,

"No supported Wireless Adapters" message comes up when there is a conflict between the utility and the driver of the card. The best way to fix this would be to remove the Intel Proset Utility from Add/Remove Programs. Download and Install the driver (includes utility too) from dell support site.
