Intel(R)537EP V9X DFV Modem

Question

I purchased three computers and the wrong modem was installed initially at the factory (I purchased one w/ the Telephony Modem and the one w/o was installed instead) on all of them.  After talking w/ my Dell Representative and Customer Services, the correct Dell Modem was sent.  I uninstalled the old modem, shut down the PC, removed the old modem, put in the new modem, turned on the PC and installed the new software.  I could only get one to find the 'correct' modem: Intel(R) 537 EP v.9x DFV Modem.  The other two kept only finding the Intel(R) 537EP v.97 DF Modem.  Does this mean the wrong modem was sent?  Why would one have the V and the others not?

The v is probably the Voice - the feature you want. Call Dell back and see what they say.... Good Luck.
