Intermitent internet connection -- here is the solution

Hello I have a bunch of dells, few months back a Studio laptop started to have intermitent internet connection, I solve the issue by removing the dell connection program from the studio (the funny thing is dell wanted me to pay some service to help me fix the issue on this brand new  studio laptop for my daughter, but the issue was the dell program ;)) Yesterday my expensive dell m 6400 got some intermitent wifi issue after updating MANUALLY all the divers so I uninstalled the 'DELL Connection Center' and it work well now. Please test better the sofwares as a customer I should not spend this amount of time solving issues like WIFI (we are in 2009) Note: we shouldn't have to update manually drivers like this, also an automatic roll back  mechanism should be put in place in case a driver or software has been mark with too many issues. When I say automatically I mean like MSFT, with choice of update now, manually, later, check box so we can approve what to install and what not. Hopefully this thread will be read by the adequat Dell people thanks for your help Wilhelm

I usually use Windows Updates for updating Windows ONLY. Microsoft usually offers drivers too but the either offer the wrong drivers and/or the drivers do not get installed correctly causing many devices to malfunction.

I update drivers ONLY if I have a problem and then try using the manufacturers website.

If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.
