Intermittant Drops on Wireless Network with D620/1390

I have a new D620 with a 1390 WLAN mini-card running XP. The laptop connects to the network initially and then repeated drops the connection. There was a time that was connected for about an hour. Sometimes I am able to connect for as little as a few minutes, sometimes I cannot even see the wireless network. My previous machine was a C610 which never had a problem seeing and connecting to the wireless network. I am thinking it has something to do with the 1390 card. I tried eliminating all but my home wireless network from the preferred list and this does not help. I tried eliminating any local sources of 2.4Ghz signals (cordless phones, wireless weather transmitters, but nothing helps. The wireless router is a Bewlkin G which, like I mentioned before served me well with my other pc (C610). Thoughts?

Thanks!
