Intermittent USB Client

I have not had any network problems connecting my desktop to 3 laptops until about a week ago when I began having intermittent signal strength from the Orinoco USB Client Gold on my desktop. The signal strength ranges from excellent to no connection. It has been getting much worse today. Any suggestions?
