internal wireless card not recognized
Hi,
I have a problem that I have not been able to solve, gave up on for a while and want to try again.
I have a dell inspiron 1150 laptop with a pentium 4 processor. it came installed with a wireless networking card. It originally worked. The card was:
WIRELESS, MINI PCI CARD, 1350
Somehow the card was disabled and it got deleted from the hardware configuration. I'm not sure how because I didn't originally use the laptop, one of my older kids did. But I know the wireless originally worked.
And then it got played around with and stopped. So i figured just installing the driver again would work but I do that and nothing happens. It's as if the card doesn't exist in the computer because the hardware in control panel doesn't show anything, it just shows the regular network card, not the internal wireless.
Does anyone have any solutions? I've tried installing the drivers and such but I'm not sure what other way for the card to be recognized?
