Internet Connection Gone...

Question

I have a Vostro 400 desktop running Vista Home Premium. I attempted to uninstall the Dell Network Assistant software last evening, since to my knowledge I had not been using it, I was receiving a prompt to uninstall or install. Now my internet connections are gone. I am utilizing a cable modem and I have no idea what I did wrong.

Any thoughts?

Lets start by having you look in device manager to see if your adapter is listed under the network adapter listing. you might need to reinstall the driver. You can find the network adapters HERE. you will have to know which card you have in your system

Thanks.  I checked that out and everything was fine in that regard.  I tried one more time creating a new connection and it worked.  Maybe the internet was down last night.   Brett
