Internet Connection Wizard
I'm a proud owner of an Inspiron 5100 so much so I recommend it to my colleague. He purchased an Inspiron 5150.
Try as he may he cannot setup an internet connection using a dial up connection. When using the Internet Connection Wizard when it comes to the window to select type of connection, the Broadband connection is highlight and the dial up connection is 'greyed' out, thus it is not possible to set up a dial up connection.
Help please

I am having the same problem with my Inspiron 8200. I have tried reinstalling the drivers for the modem and the modem shows as enabled and working in the device manager. I used to be able to use the modem for dial-up and faxing but now I can't.
I recently sent the laptop to Dell for replacement of the video card and had asked them to check the modem. Their records show that they didn't check it so I still don't know if it is a hardware problem or not.
I too would appreciate some advice.
