Internet connection
Inspiron 6000
Connect wireless OK, but when I try to connect via high speed cable it doesn't work.
Any ideas

Are you connecting to a router or directly to a broadband modem? Does your ethernet network adapter show up in Device Manager? Does it show up in Network Connectins? When the ethernet cable is plugged in at both ends, do the link lights on both ports light up? Are you getting an IP address from whatever device you are connecting to?

Have you plugged in any filters between phone line & pc , if yes try different permutations, ie connect filter before pc connection or maybe after or between pc & phone sometimes it wirks fine with 1 filter other times 2 are needed..
